Grace in Adversities

Friday, October 29th, 2010

But why adversities? Why believers in the course of their life on earth should go through suffering? The Bible says in Phil. 1:29 that it has been granted to us in Christ not just to believe in him but to suffer for him. And it is also written in 2Tim.2:12 that everyone who will pursue to live godly lives will be persecuted. Many Christians today have no clear conception of suffering as the word of God describes it. For most suffering is just about having a lack of things, being sick and many more naturally occurring happenings even to those who have not Christ in their lives.

Now if God’s grace is sufficient and that the life of the believer is all about grace then we can say most confidently that in times of adversities God’s grace abounds. How can we know? By answering why…suffering? In here are some answers from the word of God and in pondering we may all see that there is Grace in Adversities

Grace and Peace to you all beloved of God.

Things I Cannot

Friday, October 29th, 2010

As I tried to teach others to follow me as I follow the Lord and as apostle Paul said, “imitate me as I imitate Christ…” In all the men of God that God has set for us as examples to follow, they live as they teach, and they taught as they live. I am not sure, if Paul would tell me, if he is living now, to separate the way I teach and the way i live. That is just contrary. We live as men and women, but we do not live for ourselves, we live for Christ. I cannot talk one way and walk the other way. That is just plain hypocrisy. The whole world is filled with it. Where is the prize of his suffering then?

I cannot be a closet Pastor. I cannot be a Pastor only in name. I do not need a Pastor’s tag to next to my name if that is what we think it is. To think so, already shames me before God. And in no way I am teaching a “how to love by God.” For nobody can love God except God enables him, for love is of God. What we have receive is His grace. But what I am as a Father to my children is what I am as a friend to you. I cannot be a Pastor of a church and not be a pastor at FAcebook. I cannot teach a hundred soul if i cannot disciple a single.

I know fully well the extent of the Lord’s mercy and compassion, by His grace. That is why he has removed condemnation before me, glory to God. No one is condemned before him. But I bear His precious name. If we cannot live as we teach how will the world know He is what He claim he is. If we teach mercy, then we live out mercy. If we teach love, we live out love, if we teach joy we live out joyful, if we teach long suffering we become long sufferers, if we teach discipline we live out disciplined, if we teach to keep in step with the Spirit we live by the Spirit. If the natural man has died, then it has died along with Jesus at the cross if we teach that we have been raised with Christ a spiritual man we live as spiritual men and women. This is positional truth. A position does not change whether I am in the bathroom or at the lectern.

Every day, I live among men who are lost and in darkness, if I cannot live to be a light to them and only talk about the light, who can they follow to the light how much more imitate? How can the truth be received?

Perhaps I have said more than I ought to. The Lord forbid.

May His grace and peace find your restful.

His Grace is Enough

Wednesday, October 13th, 2010

My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness
(2 Corinthians 12:9, NIV).

Many people today wonder if they deserve God’s favor, but do you know what grace is? It’s unmerited favor. It’s kindness from Him that we don’t deserve. Isn’t it wonderful to know we don’t have to earn God’s grace; we simply receive it as a gift?

No matter what has happened in your past, you can receive God’s grace and forgiveness and start fresh today. His grace is enough. It’s all you need. The Scripture says we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

Today, let grace empower and strengthen you to live the life of victory simply by receiving it and extending it to others. Instead of holding mistakes over other people’s heads, why don’t you hold out favor and forgiveness? As you allow God’s grace to flow through you, His power will increase in you. You’ll see His favor in greater ways as you rise up higher in the life of victory He has prepared for you!

Prayer for Today:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your goodness and grace today. I receive Your strength and favor in my life. Help me to extend that grace to others so I can live as an example of Your love in everything I do. In Jesus’
