Another Look at Love

Wednesday, June 8th, 2011

There’s something that happens in the love of God. In fact many things happen. We are speaking here of God who is the Almighty…to whom there’s nothing that’s impossible. How can I live before this reality and see His very love that was shed abroad in my heart?

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ–to the glory and praise of God. Phil.1:9-11

First, there’s an abounding [and that is more and more] in knowledge and depth of insight. The believer will see this. He sees himself growing even as seeks to humble himself [and sometimes God even provides those humbling situations- 2Cor.12:7]. God always do these things as we see in this prayer, these are His clear desire and expectation. He will always give grace to one who will so desire and answer to God’s expectation.

Second, derived from growing in knowledge and depth of insight [1Cor.2:9-16; 2Peter 3:17-18] is the capacity to discern what is best. And what is best but the unfolding of God’s plan that He has for you. What do you see when a believer grows in knowing Christ? You will see him laying down his life. He will have the compelling love of Christ stirred in him. Is this not what’s its says there on Romans 12:1-2 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God–this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.” See what happens? There will be a growing capacity to approve what is God’s will and not just that, but His good, pleasing and perfect will. God’s word will always speak as one!

Third is the fruit of righteousness and this is what God is after…that we should be fruitful. But it’s the fruit of righteousness and not just some fruits. God is after a bountiful harvest! He desires us to harvest! Is this what you see in your life? Listen to this word in Hebrews 12:11 that is in the context of discipline [God’s love will always discipline], “No discipline seem pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace to those who have trained by it.”

Do you see yourself growing in knowledge and depth of insight? Do you see yourself becoming able to discern what is best? Are you harvesting? Know that God’s love does not end at the cross. His love will always seek a fruitful work in you.

This is God’s will.

Truth in the Believers Life

Tuesday, December 7th, 2010

John 14:6; John 17:17-19; John 8:31-31; Ephesians 4:11-12; 15-16

Truth makes for everything in the Church and in the believers life. And how’s that?  Paul said that the Church is the “pillar and foundation of the truth [1Timothy 3:15].” And what an awesome declaration is this? God in his grace has placed in the Church the posterity of the truth! She is the custodian of everything that is “Truth.” To say that the Church is, is to say that every believer is, and this must be brought forth to everyone that had come to Christ. Every believer should be raised, nurtured to the realization of this wonderful truth.

What a Church we will see if this will be!

And if truth makes for everything in the believers life or the Church for that matter- How is this so? Although we will be speaking here the same as God’s word, Salvation, Christ, let us clarify and let the word of God speak.

Truth will always set free

That’s what Christ himself said…”and the truth will set you free.” A believer who stands on this declaration is the Lord’s freedman. “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed” [John 8:36], and the Lord here is speaking in the context of sin. But what or how it is to be free? If the Lord said that one who has been freed is free indeed there must be something that a believer realizes in him. Let us look at what God says as he moved to free his people Israel from their bondage in Egypt- “And the LORD spoke to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and say to him, “Thus says the LORD: “Let My people go, that they may serve Me”[Gen.3:12; 4:22-23; 7:16; 8:1,20; 9:1,13; 10:3]. That’s it. Freedom is about a life that serves. Just like what the Lord said…”I have come to do your will O’ God” [Hebrews10:5-7], “The Son of man came not to be served but to serve.” The evidence or the witness of truth and of freedom is service. The believer becomes a servant!

Truth will always sanctify

So now we as believers of Christ are the Lord’s freedmen. But why is it that it is as if there’s just a few of those who really serve? Because the believer is to grow becoming one! Listen to this: “It was he who gave…some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service…” [Ephesians 4:11-12] and this in agreement with God’s word in 2Timothy 3:16-17- “All Scriptures is God-breathed…so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” The word of God as given to those who will feed the Church has this as its purpose. This is sanctification [John 17:17]. That every believer should see and realize themselves as servants of the most high God! The word of God should not be given as one aimlessly. And if given faithfully with this in mind and heart, the Church is assured of a steady stream of men and women that are made ready for every facet of God’s work. The Lord will always be there and sure, mightily, powerfully at work!

Truth is what makes for Church growth

It is the multiplication of men and women servants that evidences Church growth. Let’s finish that verse in Ephesians 4:11-12“It was he who gave…some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service so that the body of Christ may be built up…” The building up of the body is when God’s people become people of service. The focus of God’s work is not the service but those who do the service. Again in Ephesians 4 in verse 15-16, “Instead speaking the truth in love…From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.” As each part does its work, that’s what it’s all about and there’s no other way God gave and there’s no other where God will be most present.

The Lord Jesus said “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life…” In him alone we truly become servants. This is his image, the image of the one who serves. This is his testimony and here every believer will have their witness.

Grace in Adversities

Friday, October 29th, 2010

But why adversities? Why believers in the course of their life on earth should go through suffering? The Bible says in Phil. 1:29 that it has been granted to us in Christ not just to believe in him but to suffer for him. And it is also written in 2Tim.2:12 that everyone who will pursue to live godly lives will be persecuted. Many Christians today have no clear conception of suffering as the word of God describes it. For most suffering is just about having a lack of things, being sick and many more naturally occurring happenings even to those who have not Christ in their lives.

Now if God’s grace is sufficient and that the life of the believer is all about grace then we can say most confidently that in times of adversities God’s grace abounds. How can we know? By answering why…suffering? In here are some answers from the word of God and in pondering we may all see that there is Grace in Adversities

Grace and Peace to you all beloved of God.

Welcome to Bended Ministry of Worship!

At the closing of this age, the activities of the enemy are intensified. How greatly are the children of God being attacked, oppressed and escpecially decieved. Now is the time for the saints to rise up and exercise the victory of the cross to resist and counterattack the Enemy. How fierce is the battle. Can the saints overcome without fully armed? Beloved of God, arise, stand on the victory of Calvary, and proclaim the victory of Christ. Your King is coming, and the days of the enemy are numbered.

We must come on bended knees at the foot of the Cross to overcome.
